San Diego, California::Baby Shower

We are truly blessed–in so many ways. I’m thankful for our friends and family who take such great care of us. My mother in law and sister in laws threw us a shower last weekend. My sister in law Torrie is an artist–She is so talented. She is the one who handmade our headboard and drew the stencil by hand. She made the onesies in the photos below, along with the succulent displays.
Anyways, I got to spend time with my sisters, some great friends from high school, women who watched Travis grow up, and more family and friends. We are spoiled, that is for sure–So many cute outfits and some baby necessities.
Thank you to everyone who came and showed our little one how loved he already is. We’re so grateful for you!
Of course I had to share some photos of that fun day. Enjoy!
They planned some great games. I really did think they were fun. Well, this one was kind of disgusting. I had to close my eyes while Torrie fed me different baby foods. I then had to guess what flavor I had tasted. I got 3 out of 8 correct. However, I guessed hamburger when it was really beef stew and I guessed strawberry banana when it was just banana. I think those should’ve counted:) Especially since I had to eat pea, macaroni and cheese, and beef stew–UCK!
 Thank you everyone!!!

Sonoma, California Wedding Photographer::Matt and Chelsea

Matt and Chelsea met in Chico and we loved hearing their story. I can imagine Chelsea giggling as they got to know each other. The night they met each other, Matt prayed that she would be the one.

Matt is a confident and loyal person. Chelsea is so bubbly and friendly–they work so well together. Together, they love to dance, travel, and be active. Their Wedding Day was proof of this.
The Wedding took place at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma, California. It was beautiful and the weather could not have been more perfect. Enjoy these photos of Matt and Chelsea’s day–we sure did.
The ladies got ready at an adorable house on the grounds surrounded by vineyards.
Travis and I went over to the gardens to take some photos of the men before the ceremony began. Chelsea and Matt chose not to see each other until she walked down the aisle.
The moment before the ceremony begins is always filled with anticipation. Chelsea looked beautiful walking down the flower-covered aisle.
Love this next photo that Travis took while the couple walked back down the aisle after being announced husband and wife!
We got to sneak away with the newlyweds for a while–always fun!
The reception was just stunning–lots of friends and family who had a great time!
Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Matt and Chelsea Faraclas!
And because this post could really get too long, I will end with these photos. The dancing moved to a beautiful barn. As promised–some proof of this couple’s dancing skills.
Chelsea and Matt–thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your day. We feel blessed to get to work with people like you! Your wedding day was just perfect!

Jay Flora - great pictures, great couple.

Coronado California:: Babymoon

We are seriously enjoying this vacation. After a nonstop weekend filled with traveling and a great baby shower, we were pooped. Today we spent the afternoon in Coronado. It is restaurant week in San Diego so we tried a new place for lunch at the Hotel Del in Coronado. It was delicious!
Ca-ute friends Zac and Lacey joined us and Lauren got a cheesecake celebration for her birthday! Out waiter Jesse spoon-fed her…no joke. It was awesome.
Of course Travis packed Spikeball for our vacation. Spikeball on the beach is awesome!
These boys are high school buddies. No, that is not Adam Lavigne. But every time I watch The Voice, I think of Travis’ best man Michael.
Always so grateful to sit at the beach. I even got in on some spikeball. Travis is usually my partner, which is very nice of him. I am much slower these days. We are learning to play nice with each other:) It was one of our areas we had to work on while dating and into first years of marriage. Sometimes our pride still gets the best of us in competitive situations, but I think we are getting better:)
I plan on spending one more day at the beach while in San Diego. The weather was amazing! Perfect day on our babymoon. Also, our great friends Andrew and Amber had their baby girl today and it made me so anxious to meet our son–ah!

Sonoma, California Wedding Photographer::Matt and Chelsea

As I’m editing this sweet couple’s photos, I just can’t help but share a few more before their blog post later this week!
A few things that you should know about them–Chelsea has the sweetest giggle. Seriously, it just makes you smile. And Matt–well, he might be the best dancer I’ve seen in person. The evening of their wedding was filled with dancing. You’ll have to take my word for it for now. There will be some photos of that on the blog post!
We know you two are having a blast in Europe! Can’t wait to share more photos soon.

30 weeks

Well, I have officially skipped a week in blogging my pregnancy stats. Oh well.
One person told me this week that I’m “ready to POP”. Really? Do you really think that? Have you not seen a woman who is 38-40 weeks pregnant? AND no pregnant woman wants to hear that anyways, even if it were true. Moving on…:)
I had a doctors appointment this week. Heartbeat was strong, the baby is head down, and I’m gaining weight. Our doctor is having me go to an ultrasound tomorrow because I am measuring small. That is, my uterus is measuring 26.5 centimeters when it should be measuring 30. He said it is normal to be 1-2 off but since I am over 3 off, he wanted to have a look. A lot of my friends measured small and everything was fine. I am not stressing about it–I’m excited to see our little boy again! Of course, his health is always on my mind but he is moving around lots and I am not too concerned about it at this point.
Weeks:30
Weight gain: 21 lbs total
Baby’s size: About 3 pounds
Changes: SUPER TIRED. I sleep just fine at night (besides having to switch positions a lot and having to get up to use the bathroom about 4 times a night) but then around 2 in the afternoon I am ready to go to bed again.
Maternity clothes: Yes.
Food cravings: I’ve been craving sweets but trying not to give in too much–it hasn’t been working.
Food aversions: Nothing.
Best moment this week: Hearing his heartbeat again and learning that my glucose tests came back perfectly normal.
Worst moment this week: The balls of my feet are hurting at the end of the day and his kicks are getting pretty intense. Not really painful, just more intense and uncomfortable.
Missing anything: Nope.
Looking forward to: Seeing his little face tomorrow! I can’t wait!!

DoolittleDesign - That is so cool! Glad the glucose test went well. I took mine recently also. I agree that people need to keep their comments to themselves. You look beautiful!!!!! have fun seeing little man at your appointment!
